Kopeć & Zaborowski (KKZ) is a leading law firm in Poland’s market of legal services. We specialize in press law, criminal law, business law including transactions, personality rights and labour law. In addition, KKZ carries out investigative audits at companies to detect insider frauds and to optimize expenses.

KKZ has been awarded in many international law competitions and honours.

In 2019, Kopeć & Zaborowski Law Firm was awarded an international, prestigious ranking – The LEGAL 500 – among the five hundred best law firms in the world and leading Polish law firms in the Commercial, Corporate, and M&A categories. In 2024 was awarded again, the Employment and “White collar crime” categories. Additionally, since 2019 has received a distinction in the professional ranking – Media Law International (MLI), presenting the leading law firms dealing with 56 jurisdictions around the world. Now is on 2nd Tier.

In 2023, the Law Firm was once again among the honorable finalists of the prestigious The Lawyer European Awards competition, organized by the renowned British magazine THE LAWYER, in the category: European specialist law firm of the year: Europe and Law firm of the year: Central Europe, and the Pro Bono Initiative. In 2022, in the Law firm of the year: Central Europe category, it received a special “highly commended” distinction.
It was also awarded in the BENCHMARK LITIGATION EUROPE 2020 and 2021, which representing the best law firms in the world specializing in and outstanding in litigation. Head of the Financial Law and New Technologies Practice, was awarded in the international, prestigious Chambers Europe Awards 2021 in FinTech category.

Kopeć & Zaborowski Law Firm and its lawyers are very successful in Poland as well. It is worth to mention that three times, in 2020, 2022 and 2023 Maciej Zaborowski, Managing Partner of KKZ, as one of few advocates, was awarded in the prestigious Ranking of “50 Most Influential Lawyers in Poland, prepared by journalists of “Dziennik. Gazeta Prawna.” newspaper.

Since 2019, Maciej Zaborowski and the law firm have been recommended itself in the Law Firm Ranking announced by the Rzeczpospolita Daily. In 2022, they became leaders in the categories “Criminal law for business” and “Media and telecommunications”. In 2023, after changes in terms of awarding prizes, Marta Kopeć and Maciej Zaborowski together with the law firm were indicated as leaders in the categories “Labor law” and “Criminal law for business” and the law firm itself as a vice-leader in “TMT (IT, media and telecommunications)” and “Commercial, corporate, mergers and acquisitions”. Moreover, advocate Hubert Kubik (TMT) and advocate Paweł Sawicki (criminal law for business) were again indicated as recommended lawyers in their fields.

KKZ was included in the list “Poland`s Best Law Firms 2022” by “Forbes” magazine, receiving exceptional awards in 5 areas of law: criminal law, white-collar crimes, corporate law, labour law and press law.

In 2023, effective legal actions of attorney Maciej Zaborowski made him on the list of one of the most prestigious international industry rankings, i.e. “Who is who Legal”. He was indicated as a leader in the Business Crime Defence: Individuals category. This is an extraordinary distinction, awarded to the best carnists on the market.

Since 2020, Kopec & Zaborowski Law Firm is awarded in the “Gazele Biznesu” ranking and was among most dynamically developing companies in Poland. Currently is ranked 174th in Poland.

In 2022, KKZ received the prestigious “Kancelaria Pro Bono” award from “Rzeczpospolita” for its pro bono activities for many social organizations. In 2023, the KKZ received a distinction for conducting activities to support Fighting Ukraine.
