Katarzyna Balsam

Attorney-at-Law. Head of the Business Law Department.
Her professional practice focuses primarily on business law, compliance, technology law, and legal services for entrepreneurs, including companies operating in the IT and TSL sectors.
She has over 15 years of experience providing legal support to businesses as an in-house lawyer, as well as 6 years of experience managing a legal department. This gives her not only a deep understanding of entrepreneurs, their needs, and the challenges of the market, but also practical expertise in effectively addressing the internal challenges faced by organizations.

She further developed her knowledge and practical expertise while working at a renowned Warsaw law firm. She has highly developed negotiation skills and extensive knowledge of IT, new technologies, and artificial intelligence, enabling her to approach business from a highly innovative yet broad perspective.
At KKZ, she is responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice in the areas of civil law, commercial law, corporate law, and employment law. She coordinates the work of the legal team, ensuring that clients receive the support they need and have continuous access to information regarding their matters. She also handles transactions, drawing on her strong negotiation skills. She advises on a wide range of civil, financial, and IT-related agreements. Furthermore, she represents companies in court proceedings and supports management boards and senior executives in making strategic business decisions.
She is involved in the development and implementation of internal procedures and corporate documentation, working closely with the Compliance Officer.

She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University in Kraków and subsequently completed numerous postgraduate programmes at both the University of Warsaw and Kozminski University. She specializes in new technologies law, artificial intelligence law, and insurance law.
Member of the Warsaw Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law.
