Marta Kope\u0107<\/strong> is an expert in labor law, with particular focus on areas where employment law intersects with business and soft HR. She has extensive experience in representing employers in labor law litigation and handling employment disputes. She serves as a trusted legal advisor to board members and managing directors of companies operating both in Poland and internationally. Her practice also includes workplace mediations, organizational audits, and the analysis of complex workplace situations, helping organizations build safe and responsible work cultures. Her expertise has been recognized through numerous awards in legal rankings and competitions. She has been named a Leader in labor law three times in the prestigious Rzeczpospolita<\/em> ranking and is also recommended in the international Legal 500<\/em> ranking.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her strong business acumen stems not only from years of advising entrepreneurs but also from her own managerial experience. For over 10 years, she has successfully co-managed Kope\u0107 Zaborowski Law Firm as a Managing Partner, where she oversees strategic areas including finance, HR, and administration. Her leadership skills are further confirmed by the SLII Experience\u2122 certification from Blanchard.<\/p>\n

She graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. She also completed the Italian and European Law School program conducted in cooperation with the University of Catania, as well as postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (\u201cAcademy of Companies\u201d), graduating with distinction.<\/p>\n

Her interest in labor law dates back to her academic years\u2014she wrote her master\u2019s thesis, \u201cWork-Life Balance: Achieving Harmony Between Professional and Private Life,\u201d<\/em> at the Department of Labor Law under the supervision of Professor Ma\u0142gorzata Gersdorf. From the very beginning of her career, she has focused on advising employers, developing employment documentation and strategies, and conducting litigation. Her extensive courtroom experience enables her to design solutions that minimize the risk of employment disputes and support companies in effectively managing difficult situations.<\/p>\n

She is the Vice President of the Labor Law Association<\/strong>, where she is actively involved in educational initiatives and the development of labor law standards. She also participates in public consultations on legislative changes. Among others, she contributed to proposals for amendments to anti-mobbing regulations presented during Round Table discussions in the Polish Parliament and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. She was also a member of the labor law team within the \u201cSprawdzaMY\u201d initiative, which develops deregulation proposals.<\/p>\n

She is the author of numerous legal opinions and publications in the field of labor law and an active advocate of legal education. She runs her own blog, jakzwolnicpracownika.pl<\/em>, where she helps employers navigate complex and non-obvious employment situations. She also regularly publishes on LinkedIn and authors the newsletter \u201cHR Radar,\u201d<\/em> dedicated to the practical aspects of labor law and people management.<\/p>\n

She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and conducts her own workshops and training sessions for companies, universities, and in-house lawyers as part of the Inhouse Academy. She also collaborates with the HR Practitioners Association on projects related to building respectful workplace cultures.<\/p>\n

She is actively involved in mentoring initiatives. Through the Women in Law Foundation, she supports young female lawyers in building their career paths.<\/p>\n

He specializes in criminal cases, press law and personal interests. He conducts litigation for leading politicians and journalists. He advises the presidents and supervisory boards of the largest Polish companies. Co-author of numerous amendments to the law, including the amendments to the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure. He supervises the litigation department in the law firm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. He also graduated from Harvard Law School (ALP)<\/strong> and postgraduate studies in Intellectual Property Law <\/strong>at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw as well as postgraduate studies in Evidence Law<\/strong> at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski University. He also completed advocate training at the Bar Association in Warsaw and passed the final Bar exam.<\/strong> He is also a graduate of the Center for American Law Studies<\/strong> (a joint initiative of the Florida State University and the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw), Leadership Academy for Poland<\/strong> run by lecturers from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, 16th School for Leaders<\/strong> founded by Professor Zbigniew Pe\u0142czy\u0144ski from Oxford University in Great Britain, and the Academy of Young Diplomats (European Academy of Diplomacy)<\/strong> \u2013 specialization: foreign service. He is currently also in the process of writing his doctoral thesis on criminal commercial law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw.<\/p>\n

He gained his professional experience, among others, in several well-known Warsaw law firms, as well as in the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Rome, the Ministry of Justice and the Polish Parliament, where he, among others, co-authored a report from the Parliamentary Investigation Committee<\/strong> to examine the case of the legislative process of the laws amending the Act of 29 July 1992 on games and betting and the executive regulations issued on the basis of those regulations in the scope of games on low win machines and video gaming terminals and to examine the lawfulness of the operation of government administration bodies investigating the process [the so-called \u201cGambling Committee\u201d]. Author of numerous legal opinions related to the legislative process, including those commissioned by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Member of the Supervisory Board of Powszechny Zak\u0142ad Ubezpiecze\u0144 S.A .<\/strong> and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PKP IC.<\/strong> A professional mediator of the Mediation Centre<\/strong> at the Supreme Bar Council registered on the list of mediators of the District Court in Warsaw and a lecturer for the advocate training at the Bar Association in Warsaw. In February 2018 elected by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of the 8th term as a judge of the State Tribunal. In November 2019, he was re-elected as a judge of the State Tribunal by the Sejm of the 9th term.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From an early age he has been involved in pro publico bono activities, including the function of the Chairman of the Founders\u2019 Council of the Responsible Citizens Foundation. Comments current events in legal terms in the press and on television.<\/p>\n

Winner of the prestigious \u201cRising Stars Lawyers \u2013 Leaders of Tomorrow\u201d<\/strong> competition organized by the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and the Wolters Kluwer publishing house under the patronage of President of the Supreme Bar Council and President of the National Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law. Recommended as a lawyer in prestigious international and Polish rankings, i.a. in the ranking of the daily Rzeczpospolita as an expert in the fields of Criminal law for business and Technology, media, telecommunications.<\/p>\n

This proves the fact that his activities go far beyond the Polish legal market and are visible in other European countries.<\/p>\n

He was also additionally awarded for his pro publico bono activity by the District Bar Council in Warsaw.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2019, he was awarded the Medal of the Centenary of Regained Independence by President of the Republic of Poland for his social and professional activities, in particular for pro bono activities and education of young people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
